----Kayettes: There are applications in the Library, on the Kayette door, for the 2011-2012 Kayette cabinet. If you are interested in applying for the cabinet, please pick up an application in the library. Completed applications are due back to Ms. Hutton by the end of the school day on Thursday, April 28th. Interviews for the cabinet will be conducted next Tuesday and Wednesday.----

----The Kayettes will be hosting an emergency blood drive at the Intermediate School gym on Monday, May 2nd from 7 AM--12:45 PM. You must be at least 16 (with parental permission) to donate.----

----The minimum age for donating blood in the state of Kansas is 16. Anyone who is 16 is required to present a signed parental consent form to the blood drive workers along with a picture id before they can donate. Anyone 17 years or older can donate without parental consent (although we encourage kids to make sure their parents are aware). The blood drive next Wednesday (2/23) has been moved to the intermediate school gym.----

----Congratulations to Mrs. Bruggeman's amazing class who won our Mitten Tree collection contest! They will be celebrating with pizza tomorrow. Mrs. Bolin's awesome class came in a close second. Mr. Myers' seminar was also very competitive. Together as a school community, we collected over 3,000 items for families in need in Lansing. Thanks again for all your donations! The final totals are: Bruggeman with 819; Bolin with 750; and Myers with 388.----
----The Kayettes are collecting new, unwrapped toys for underpriveleged children. The box is in the library. Anyone is welcome to donate. But, if you are a Kayette and donate, you receive a nation point. Please donate to a great cause!----
----Thank you to those who have brought in items for the Mitten Tree. As of today, Myers is in the lead with Bolin in 2nd place and Bruggeman in 3rd. See the mittens outside the library and the office for the totals. The last day to bring in items is December 15th!----
----Mitten Tree items are being collected Friday (12/3) after school. There is a sign up sheet in the library for those interested in helping to collect the items.----
----If you signed up to donate for Wednesday's blood drive, you must bring this card and your picture id with you. If you are 16, you must also bring your signed permission slip with you. This will be delivered with your appt card today. We have a record number of people wanting to donate. Thank you! Because of this no appts will be rescheduled. You must be on time for your appt or your slot will be given to the next person. Don't forget to eat well and drink plenty of water.----
