NEHS (Pen n' Paw)

----There is a Pen 'n Paw officers' meeting after school on Thursday, 4/7. There will be very important end of year decisions to make.----
 
----The photography contest sponsored by Pen 'n Paw Club is now open for submissions. Submit your best photos in room 229. Be sure to fill out a statement of originality for your submissions. Forms are in Mrs. Leffler's room. You may submit more than one photo. The deadline for submissions is February 15th.----

----Any Pen 'n Paw member who would like to help with the photography poster, meet in room 229 on Wednesday(1/26) right after school to design the most awesome poster ever. ----All students wishing to submit a short story for the short story contest need to turn in that entry by 3 PM on Friday, 1/14. The Pen'n Paw meeting scheduled for January 11 has been moved to Tuesday, January 18th. We will meet in the AM and the PM as we always do.----

----National English Honor Society induction ceremony will take place on December 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. All members of Pen 'n Paw NEHS are expected to be present for this special occasion. All inductees will have a mandatory meeting immediately after school on Thursday, December 2nd in Room 229.----
 
----The Pen 'n Paw Chapter of NEHS would like to announce the winners of the 2010 - 2011 poetry contest: 3rd place: "Cinderella" by Beth Redden; 2nd place: "Night Combed Through the Clouds" by Kelcey Lewis; 1st place: "November Sunrise" by Heather Laurence. Prize money will be awarded on the regularly monthly meeting on December 14th. Great job!----
 
----Senior Members of NEHS: The National English Honor Society has now posted its scholarship opportunities. All essay submissions for scholarships are on the novel Enrique's Journey. Go to www.nehs.us for more information. Pen 'n Paw NEHS members: There will be a full member meeting next week on November 9 either before or after school. Be sure to be at the meeting. There is a date set for sophomore inductions and a date for the Coterie Theater workshop. Thank you to 35 members who participated in trick or treat for kids.----

----We still need candy for the little children. Bring one or two bags of candy tomorrow, 10/30 between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Earn a service point and then stay to help build the crocodile and hang the lights for Peter Pan's forest. We are having lots of fun. If you want to come to help with trick or treating, dress as one of the "Lost Boys" or as an "Indian". The time for that is 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on 10/30. We will NOT decorate after school today (10/29).----
 
----Pen 'n Paw NEHS students who signed up to help with the hallway for trick or treat for kids need to be here after school Tuesday, 10/26, through Friday, 10/29 from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 9:00 to 12:00 a.m. Saturday morning, 10/30. See you then in room 229 (and H hallway!)----
